Pres. Ballard às mulheres: “Não devemos questionar as escolhas ou inspirações uns dos outros”

A seguinte mensagem foi publicada pelo Pres. M. Russell Ballard em sua conta do Instagram:

“As mulheres têm uma influência extraordinária. Vocês, irmãs, foram divinamente investidas de um tipo singular de discernimento e força que difere de algumas maneiras dos dons que nosso Pai Celestial deu a Seus filhos. Essas diferenças são intencionais e eternas. Elas não fazem de você melhor do que um homem, ou inferior a ele. Elas apenas fazem você diferente – maravilhosamente, deliberadamente, eternamente diferente.

“Cada uma de vocês deve descobrir o que o Senhor quer para você individualmente, considerando as escolhas que estão diante de você. Uma vez que você conhece a vontade do Senhor, você pode seguir em frente para cumprir seu propósito individual. Uma irmã pode ser inspirada a continuar os estudos e frequentar a faculdade de medicina. Para outra irmã, a inspiração pode levá-la a renunciar a uma bolsa de estudos de uma instituição de prestígio e em vez disso começar uma família muito mais cedo do que se tornou comum nesta geração.

É possível que duas mulheres igualmente fiéis recebam respostas tão diferentes para as mesmas questões básicas? Absolutamente! O que é certo para uma mulher pode não ser certo para outra. É por isso que é tão importante que não devemos questionar as escolhas uns dos outros. Devemos nos abster de fazer perguntas dolorosas que não demonstram apoio. Todos nós podemos ser mais bondosos e mais atentos à situações em que nossas irmãs em todo o mundo se encontram ao procurar seguir a vontade de nosso Pai Celestial individualmente em suas vidas.”

Women have remarkable influence. You sisters have been divinely endowed with a unique kind of discernment and strength that differs in some ways from the gifts our Heavenly Father gave His sons. These differences are intentional and eternal. They don’t make you better than a man, nor do they make you inferior to him. They just make you different—wonderfully, deliberately, everlastingly so. . Each of you must come to know what the Lord wants for you individually, given the choices before you. Once you know the Lord's will, you can then move forward in faith to fulfill your individual purpose. One sister may be inspired to continue her education and attend medical school. For another sister, inspiration may lead her to forego a scholarship to a prestigious institution and instead begin a family much earlier than has become common in this generation. . Is it possible for two similarly faithful women to receive such different responses to the same basic questions? Absolutely! What’s right for one woman may not be right for another. That’s why it is so important that we should not question each other’s choices or the inspiration behind them. And we should refrain from asking hurtful and unsupportive questions. We can all be kinder and more thoughtful of the situations in which our sisters throughout the world find themselves as they seek to follow the will of our Heavenly Father in their individual lives.
